I'd have to say the new Leupold is a totally adequate scope, but the image clarity is not as good as the Viper.
This is interesting to me. I'm trying to decide between a Fixed 6x36 Leupold or the 2-7x35 Vortex. The Vortex is heavier by a few ounces, but I don't want to be giving up optical quality.
