Honestly - what is the big deal?
If the stock does not impress - paint is cheap.
Barrel is to long anyway - 20" and be rid of the muzzle break.
Whats not to like?
If I was to drop $2k on one, I'd do the same thing.
But I can drop a lot less than $2k on a M700 donor, custom barrel, 'smith work, Edge, and end up with the same wieght and a better hunting rig.
And spend the rest on a VX-3 2.5-8........
