Several years ago I was in the market for a new backpack, I contacted Mystery Ranch and they suggested that I get Kodiak instead of the nice frame system due to the fact that I would be backpacking 80% of the time and meat hauling 20% of the time or less.
I don't regret the purchase at all. Super comfortable / durable and 100% made in USA
