I have not used Fiocchi hulls although I have shot several cases of them. I still reload AAs as I have a lot of them.
Its useful to load a few different shot weights and powder charges and pattern them at 30 yards with a few different chokes. In a 12 bore I use 1 oz. of shot and found its pattern density adequate at 30 yards but showing holes at 40. 1 1/8 oz. loads were slightly better at 40. That 1 /8 oz of shot has 44 pellets in it. That is over 10% more than 1 oz. Sometimes it makes a difference.
