In today's market, you'd get way more than $1,500 for the combo, probably $2,000+. It is very rare that any of the LH Left Hand Winchester Model 70 Stainless Classics come up for sale. Mine are incredible accurate and smooth and it took me over 10 years of searching to build my hunting 'battery'.
As an example for just the stock on the rifle- the other day, a Winchester Collector offered to buy the original Walnut stock on one of my LH Stainless Classics and the empty factory box the rifle came in for $375. More often, I get asked to sell one of my rifles but I'm just not parting with any.
