I shot a deer at 400 yards once .I fired 1000 rounds .Reloads were good for me that year 1997 I think. Well shot a doe because I had a permit for one. an I felt great about the shot .Lay down on a fire lane took my time never new I was there.The 270 Savage 110 an Burris 2 fulfeild scope ,I shot 100 yards 5/8 groups all the time with this gun set up.Well the deer went down one shot raise the gun till the scope was level with the ears then went back to center of front left leg an shot . The next doe was same way same place but I wanted to see-try something held right on the deer fired an bullet was in the now at the feet so that is how far it drops. Now 98.5% of hunters the long shots are 100 to 200 yards they don't need no more . Show are great on these shots but thier shows So men make great shots not cripple shots on game Thanks
