NOTHING fits my hand like a good ole 1911, and I shoot them better than any auto pistol I own. They also point like an extension of my finger. I also think the Ruger 1911 Commander is an exceptional value for the money, and a great CCW if you are familiar & proficient with it.
I also love Glocks & have one in every caliber available. I carry my 10mm Model 20 a lot & it's is huge feeling in my hand compared to my many 1911's. You couldn't go wrong with either a Glock 21 or the Ruger 1911 Commander for a CCW. I'd personally choose the one that your most comfortable with. Your considerations should be ergonomics, , trigger, carry weight, concealment, and shoot ability. Also hard to beat a 45 caliber slug for up close & personal defense.
