Public safety in Kalifornia is, a joke, of course. Restrictive gun laws have made it worse. In Kalifornia, gun control laws don't even pretend to be about safety anymore. They are intended solely to marginalize an unpopular majority. Bigotry against gun owners is extremely popular in this state. You can run naked down any San Franciso street and sodomize to your heart's content, but heaven forbid you should own or possess a firearm. That makes you a truly evil SOB in this state.
