Others have used different 12ga loads with rifled
choke tubes with varying success. Accuracy depends
mostly on bullet construction/speed. Doubles are not
good for high speeds as our slow powder, fast slug loads need heavier barrels than what doubles have.
To have 585HE Enfield done with barrel cost, dies, 100
cases, singlestack mag, in a Hogue stock, and
the barrel, metal, chamber and stock fitting work $1300.
Without a stock(do your own) $1150. Without mag set up
as single shot $1000. The barrels are polished a little
and all fancy finish and blueing and stock
finish things others can do that have the tools.Ed
