This one is an Ithaca LSA65 in 30-06. I bought it new in about 1976. It has seen a lot of shooting for a hunting rifle. Back in 2000, my wife talked me into giving it to her, so I had the stock shortened to her LOP, and a nice recoil pad installed. I like pictures of rifles to have dead animals in them, so here is her bull moose. One shot, DRT.
Here is one that Dad had back in the mid 60s that I killed my first moose with. Think it was a JC Higgins. Iron sights. Moose dropped at the shot -- 400 yards. I was 15 years old. Luck may have played a part in that one.
I also have a Tikka M65 - very similar to my wife's rifle. I have killed animals with it, but I don't have any photos of it other than sans scope and inside. Love them Tikkas -- the Ithaca is a Tikka.
