The Montana cleaners will definitely remove your nose hairs! That's why I plug the breech and seal the muzzle, no stink. When you pour it out there is a little smell but it's not strong at all. I am speculating here but figure that the ammonia is combined with the copper or whatever the volatile stuff is has been mostly neutralized.
I have not used a brass or nylon brush in ages.
