Lemme see. My wife and I have used the .270 on pronghorns, whitetails, mule deer, caribou, elk, moose and bison, with no problems. Have seen it work in Africa too, even on some supposedly super-tough plains game animals.

I've used the 280 Remington on Bison quite affectively.
