Yep.

I like soft bullets but these did not perform well at all in water-filled laundry soap bottles... The first was blown up, a few bullet shards found in second bottle. This from a 6-250; less umph than the .243.

That having been said I have friends I trust who swear by em... I reserve em for plastic, steel, and varmints.



I never understood how anyone came to on game conclusions about bullet performance using plastic bottles and water especially with trusted friends telling of great experiences.

A good buddy of mine has shot a ton of deer with them out of a .243 and gets a big smile on his face anytime they are brought up in conversation. Because of his results with the 85gr HPBT, it would almost be considered an insult in our deer camp to shoot any other bullet. It made believers out of skeptics on many occasions. I'd also say if your .243 won't shoot them then your .243 won't shoot.
