You can have mine if you want 'em. I've still got more than I want. Take every one of the little bastids as far as I'm concerned.

Well, around Alvin, the crazy ants have really done a number on them.
Problem is, crazy ants love electronics, I mean really love 'em.
They ate our gate controllers, 2 breaker boxes, a shop computer, and a lot of truck electrics. Stick moth balls in there. Runs fire ants off. Bet it will work on crazy ants too!

Honestly think I'm seeing about the same number of mounds pop up around my place that I have any other year, and we have had an insane amount of rain. Still poisoning them, then a month later a new mound somewhere else in the yard.
Reminds me, I need to go to Home Depot.

Not seeing many at all here in N.Texas, this year. Nice for a change!
And probably as a direct result, I'm seeing quite a few more Bobwhite quail chicks right now. actually seeing some field raised bobwhites in our area would be a great and wonderful thing. haven't heard one in my pea patch for about 25 years. the fire ants are holding strong, but over the years the Japanese beetles have been reduced markedly in population. I hope all the damn exotic, invasionary species burn in hell.

No Fire Ants around here but if anyone know where to get a good pallet price on Wasp spray please let me know. I'm covered up with Yellow Jackets this year. Worst I've ever seen.
And don't give me that Dawn Dish Soap crap. That chit don't work.

Did A & M ever release those little flies that ate fire ants? I mean. Not that we need another invasive species here. Just curious??? Ya, at least five years back, after studying them forever and testing them extensively on native ants. The flies are TINY, small enough that the inside of a single fire ant's head has enough food to grow a larva to adulthood. Even fire ants though can get hammered by drought, and crazy ants around here. So I dunno what has been happening to them. I know of two intact mounds by our school garden. Birdwatcher

No change around here. Little bastages are everywhere. Down at our hunt camp, however, we are getting some crazy ants. They've destroyed half of the light switches in my barn.
