WOW! That is some serious "Junk" up there. Dandy. Looks like the guy in the jump suit might have parked his heliocopter somewhere to get that monster out of that wilderness.

Same here on the emails - 4 so far, all purporting the bull to come from very close to my home in Idaho. On their Trophy Watch page Boone & Crockett say they are "reserving judgement'" B&C News - Trophy Watch

One report is that he came from Utah. http://www.wildlife.utah.gov/forums/album_page.php?pic_id=1971I hunt the Selway every year and I've seen some big boys but not like this. My wall tent is pitched up there currently but we've been rifle hunting. The rifle season opened Sept 15th and there is not bow season in the Selway unit unless you hunt bow during the rifle season. I think we'll find out this isn't a selway Bull.

I think we'll find out this isn't a selway Bull. +1 If it is from Idaho my crowd is speculating it could be one of those escaped Rummell bulls Gov. Risch made all the recent news about....

Not that I took a long hard peak, but the antlers just don't look right on that animal, but in the same breath, it doesn't look photo shopped at a glance either.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rummel had a 500+ bull or more in the escaped bunch of 20 bulls that were all over 400. I can't imagine someone bow hunting in the Selway where its rifle season.

I'm betting on Utah or one of the Rummell tame bulls. Rummel had some close to 500+ and they are starting to show up. Friend of mine shot a 450 last week with a bow and the stupid thing came walking up to him like it as lonely or something! The fun part of the hunt is that he got to keep hunting and didn't have to use his tag!

I'm betting its either a Utah bull or one of Rummell' s tame bulls. He has some around the 500+ class and they were cross bread with Euopean Red stags for huge antlers. Buddy of mine shot a 400+ bull last week out of this bunch and the stupid thing walked up to him like he wasn't supposed to feed it or something!

If it's in the Bitterroot/Selway area of Montana Bow Hunting is going on right now.

I enlarged it as much as possible. The head seems to have a problem. The woolly forehead hair appears to be cloned and the antlers don't match the head. Notice that the wool comes right down to the right eye but ends well above the left eye. A couple of the points don't seem to be normal, either. I strongly suspect that this elk didn't grow those antlers and those antlers didn't grow all of those points. There are some shadows that don't add up, too. My call is Photoshop.
Even if it's real, I HATE it when someone plays games with a wide angle lense like that to distort a photo and make the foreground appear 10 times larger than it is.
