I was here early but had to re register after several hundred posts, which makes it look later. Not a lot to say but enjoy reading what some others have to say. Some, not so much though.

Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

I remember that too. I know I had to re-register, but eventually got my old handle back.
I do miss the way it was back when there were only a couple hundred of us. It had a completely different feel to it then. No trolls, very few whizzing contest, no need for flame proof undies! laugh
We've lost quite a few people who really added flavor. Sonny, Cat, Wade, LMD, Stick and many others.
It's great to see so many members, and I'm sure it drives up the add bucks giving us a much nicer and bigger playroom. Just wish e few people would be more respectful.

Very much the same for me.

I am a relative new comer but it has the sharpest and smartest guys on any forum I have ever gone to. You have to give RickBin credit for not slapping us down for every little transgression and word that may have been spoken in anger or haste. He let's us sort it out on our own. Many forums just bounce you for the first thought of criticism.

I'm sure the "leadership" of the Obama administration and Congress wishes something could be done about that pesky 1st Amendment.

Keep up the good work everyone. I'm sure Mr. Obama cringes when a staff member says "you should hear what ol' (fill in the appropriate name here) said about you last night on the Campfire".

It makes me smile just thinking about it. smile

They drastically changed the "look" and any comment or crack got you banned, then a revolt for mbanning people.

yeah, I am an alumni of AR.... just got tired of old Walter over there.... and his anti American BS and his love for liberals in this country... which was ironic since he was a child of former Nazis who escaped to Chile after WW 2....

Actually ran into Rogue 6 yesterday at a High School wrestling match....Mike was the guy who turned me on to 24 hour Campfire back in 04.....

been here 11 years now...

got to know some great folks, that's for damned sure... two being some of the best damned guys I've met anywhere....

miss a lot of decent ones that have either left or just quietly lurk due to the changes of the community, not for the better...

but exactly as Nebraska said... still the best bunch of guys on the net....

there are only a few folks on the campfire here, that wouldn't be a welcome guest at my family dinner table as an honored guest.... and even some guys who think that might be them are wrong....

heck, I even know the guy that has the envious status symbol member number 100.... that's gotta account for something!

Me too.
