Anyone used these on deer? Shooting a 3006 recoil got a little heavy as Ive gotten older like to try these up to300 yds. any input helpful thanx

I shoot these out of my 308 Thompson Venture Compact (308's, not 30-06's). They shoot really well. I have it sighted-in to be plus or minus 1" out to 175 or 180 yards. I use it in timber and have a Tikka 308 set up for my bean field rifle. I don't take it when I'd have a 300 yard shot, but I suppose they'd be fine with a good shot placement. I like this Hornady ammo.

I've never used the Hornady managed recoil, but I bought the Remington for my son to shoot when he was too small to handle the full loads in 30 06. We had excellent results. They were a 120 grain bullet. He took 6 deer. One was a 240 lb whitetail . I would expect Hornady to be as good or better.
