Nice piece. I recently sold a 7x57 stainless version. It shot great but took a back seat to a couple of others so down the road it went.

again here are the details of the hunt
2016 Campfire hog hunt 3/9/16-3/13/16(Wed-Sun)
Arrive Wed. Afternoon hunt Thurs.-Sat. and depart Sunday a.m.
All meals and lodging, 3 hogs on 14,000 acre ranch(5000 high fence 9000 low)
45 blinds so no doubling up unless you choose to.
3 to a room each room has its own bathroom with shower
Cost for every thing(excluding license,butchering and tips) is $750.00
We will be hunting near Crystal City TX once again
There WILL be hogs to shoot!
We will have a max of 26 hunters,and again previous attendees will have 1st dibs.

Little crud is rangy. He's scaring 6'6" to death.
He got his ship out date for the University of South Carolina at Parris Island last week. It appears he is healing home on July 18.
Not sure what I'll do yet... Hi Joel, You can be very proud of him. Tell your son "Semper Fi" from me. I hope I get to meet him some day. Bill

This is a .243. Not blooded yet.
You need 100 grain Hornady Round Nose bullets for that.

What kind of scope are you running on it? That's a Leupie 2.5x. Neat little scope. I had it on a Ruger 1A 7x57 on the 2013 (?) boar hunt. This little .243 does not like heavy bullets, though. Doesn't run them fast enough to stabilize. 80-87 grains mo' better. 80 grain Barnes TTSX factory rounds do well at the range. If they do well on a Texas pig, I'll hand load those for the future. Edited to add: You said round-nose, didn't you. Hmmm. Maybe might work in this short barrel.
