Years ago there was a "Campfire Rifle" made up specially for the 24 Hour Campfire. I think it was partially built by Charlie Sisk. During that time I had dinner with Charlie and Richard Mann in Princeton, WV and they were going to bring it for me to look at but Richard was still working as a railroad detective at the time and he was late for our meal and had to bring his company vehicle directly from work and I never got to see the rifle.
Does anyone here have any photos of this rifle and/or know whatever happened to it?
Thanks...Bill.

I took it on a trip to Africa, shortly after it was finished. Have no idea where it has gone since. Can not post pics but if you will pm your e-mail, I think I have some pics.

Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

BATF issues exist in moving it from member to member, as originally contemplated.
I took it to Sonora and shot a 31" muley with it last January. It was in Kodiak a couple weeks back, but the weather did not cooperate for deer hunting.
I believe I may take it to Montana in November again.
Rick Link: [color:#000099] Re: The Campfire Rifle(s)================================ We built it. No donations were collected, but everyone voted on specs. It went to Africa, and a few guys were able to handle it, shoot it, and write reviews on it, but yes, circulating it to members became unfeasible. I have it now, and I hunt with it regularly. Here it is in Sonora: Link: [color:#000099]Re: 24 HCF Rifle ... ????--Bob

I shot a whitetail with it in November in Montana. Shot my 105 coues deer with GregW with it in 2015 too. It is still alive and kicking. It's a .300 Winchester, BTW.
