After trying to subdue my opponent without violence, my dukes have been my most ideal concealment, after it all over its not who's right that matters, its who's left.

Depends on particular requirement at that time....it could be a knife or even compact ordnance like a grenade,or even a simple garotting wire.
You didn't specify anything about a persons skill set, or if its for attack or defence or both, or if its an ordinary civilian situation , or it having to be legal, or it having to avoid collateral damage, or if the requirement is for it to be used in stealth, or if the user even cares about his own survival,
If the only condition given is concealment, consider ALL options.

"Thoughless" is very fast, out to about 30'. It is a rather heavy blade and throws almost without trying, hence the name. https://d3axvdqkyu09xk.cloudfront.net/attachments/img_20150203_161520359-jpg.32937/

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.

lots of folks do a great job concealing their brain At the nexus of where Grey Man meets Grey Matter. Why does it always have to be about color? Depends on what your doing, for me most of the time it's a 1911, other times its a raven 25.

Silent and deadly Michigan law on carrying a knife..... "MCL § 750.226 § 750.226. Firearm or dangerous weapon; carrying with unlawful intent. Sec. 226. Carrying firearm or dangerous weapon with unlawful intent-Any person who, with intent to use the same unlawfully against the person of another, goes armed with a pistol or other firearm or dagger, dirk, razor, stiletto, or knife having a blade over 3 inches in length, or any other dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument, shall be guilty of a felony, punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than 5 years or by a fine of not more than 2,500 dollars."

I try to have with me, as big and as powerful, accurate and reliable piece as I can. Often this means tailoring your clothing to accommodate a specific hand gun. Most of the time I have with me, a .45 Springfield XDS. Often though, it will be a CZ 75D PCR or a Glock 19, full sized 1911, Commander sized 1911, two inch barreled .38 S&W, three inch barreled .38 S&W, 4 inch barreled K frame .357, or................. Well you get the picture.

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Many point to the Glock 19 fitting the bill, but I have that and a 17, and always opt for the 17 due to superior shooting characteristics. Perhaps counter-intuitively, I also find that it carries slightly more comfortably, due to spreading pressure against the skin over a slightly larger surface area, thus reducing pounds per square inch pressure. The 19 does, however, conceal slightly better, due to the slightly shorter butt frame, yielding two rounds less magazine capacity. The slide length difference means little in terms of concealability when carrying IWB, but it does represent a slight reduction in shootability for the 19 vs the 17 due to the shorter sight radius. The longer grip frame on the 17 is also superior for shooting vs the 19.

The one you have with you. This is the correct answer. If you are deterred from taking a concealed weapon with you, for whatever reason, that particular weapon is not "ideal." You have to find suitable weapons (or weapon) you always take with you under any circumstance. Those are the ideal concealable weapons. Which is why the Glock 43 occasionally gets the nod, but the 17 is my choice more than 99% of the time. I find I skip the 19 right over, though, between the the 43 and the 17. I guess if I could only have one, it might be the 19, due to it's more middle position between those two, however.

Whatever I can conceal.
Runs various forms of 1911, snub 357, or various glocks up to the 20... to include a small 380 that ends up being with me all the time, regardless if I have something else or not.
Something you have, is better than something you left home.

I have found the single-stack polymer guns like the Shield and G43 to be a near perfect compromise of shoot-ability and conceal-ability. I don't shoot them any worse than a G19 sized pistol and the smaller profile makes them...smaller. Dave

The guy in the pic just busted ass. He wasn't referring to the knife. Dave
