Well Denny, my sweet wife asks for some things I don't know how to do.
I tell her, "No matter how much I love you, I can not make water run up hill".

She is seldom impressed.

Thanks Denny!

We don't fry very often here, but I would be willing to give that a go. Certainly looks different than regular baked Jiffy cornbread that I make. That dude said it was soul food. Interesting...where my wife had it. eek

I'm not...I can't even...uh...no words for that.

So I took a shot and tried to make it with Jiffy mix. Epic fail. I think actual corn meal is needed. While I dearly love my wife, I think we'll wait a while before another attempt. The kitchen was kind of a mess. I think it best I take her out to dinner tonight.

Very nice, Dan! Looks scrumptious and appears you've got a good line on jumbo shrimp, too! smile

Pepperoni pizza and garlic cheese bread. Three cocktails and goodnight Gracie.

Off to the March Meets at Famoso this morning, were the beer and food are expensive and the women look cheap!

When in the restaurant biz, we made it by the gallon, and there was a specific recipe. I have that somewhere. I think.

I spill a little dill pickle juice in mine these days. Learned that one from a FL born and raised cracker ex-GF.

I chop dill pickles and use a bit of juice in mine as well.

SWMBO bought what appears to be a 55 gallon drum of capers at Costco so I've been using those and little juice in mine. grin

I'm trying to talk the wife into using the gift certitudes we received for Christmas tonight.

The place is for sale, and we might noose, and lose.

While still simmering I made a pot of sauce today. Ground elk and pork, elk/pork Italian sausage links, elk/pork meatballs. The taster meatball was very good. Sipping a few cocktails before throwing the ravioli in the water.

Ham & Beans...
