My wife wants me to get snipped but I'm scared Schittless of both needles and don't trust the medical profession as a whole..
I tried to to do it last week, but when the needle came out, I put my pants back on and hauled ass out of the office..
That being said, I did some research afterwards and it seems that there is chance of long term pain, early onset ED, etc associated with the procedure..
Anyone have any words of advice or have any complications?

I haven't seen any of that research you mention. I got cut over 30 years ago and had swollen sore nuts for a few weeks but no problems other than that. I didn't even have a prescription for pain medication. I got cut on Friday afternoon and went back to work the following Monday.

Mine was in the 80's. Almost no pain when it was done and none at all after a couple of days. I had pain pills but never needed them. That said, NO surgery has a 100% guarantee of no problems. No matter how simple the procedure, someone somewhere will have a bad reaction. However, it's far safer than pregnancy. Your wife has already taken her chances. Your turn.

Done in the 90's. No pain meds. Drove my 5 spd Chebby home in the snow. Sore for about one day.

Had it done on Friday and Shot a 190 lb. buck on the following Tuesday. I dragged that deer about 10 feet uphill from a creekbed and had to sit down quick. I thought my nutz exploded in my thermals.
Thank God two angels of mercy following a blood trail came by about a half hour later and got it up to a logging trail that I could get my truck to.

My wife wants me to get snipped.... Of course she does. BTW, nothing good ever comes after those words are spoken in the following conversation.

It's fine. Had it done in the eighties.
Just be aware if it takes a while for Novocain to affect you. Otherwise the first snip is a dozy.

Just do it.
It's probably more dangerous driving to the Dr's office.

Did it in 96 ,took 2 days off work. Was sore for about 2 months while riding the horses. Added a lambskin pad to the saddles pommel and did not post till discomfort went away.

Had it done years ago. Did get epididimitis a few days later, but everything else functioned fine the next day on a test run... LOL.
I watched the whole procedure with a mirror, very interesting.
The worst thing IMHO was doc said when I give you this shot its going to put pressure in your gut area, almost like a punch there.. he was right, no big deal but funny to get a shot in the testicle region and feel it not there but way up in the guts.
I'm 52, have no issues at this time, dont' expect any either, its been probably 10 years ago now...
Never took a day off work either, otehr than the day of the procedure.

Oh yes, to add, my nephew just had it done. A year ago or so, about 30 years old. Dumb bastard went price shopping for the cheapest.... and was happy when the doc said he generally used just enough pain meds...
Pluck no, I want everything you have...
Nephew was sore/pain for a week or so, but seeing him in other things like cornea replacement a while back, he may be what he eats....
