I have had no "long term " effects except for the first six months. Left side went off without a hitch but when he got the right side he definetly hit a nerve. Knew it would be over soon so I white knuckled it for another few minutes and we were done. Whatever happened on the right side bruised like a bastard and went halfway up my dick black and blue. Hurt for about 8 months during sex but never enough to stop me or effect performance. Glad I did it. Funniest part actually a few funny parts but collecting a sample on the way to the office to make sure I was shooting blanks, pulled over at a park and wife had her work cut out for her as I was still sore, but she's a trouper.

lol... same result - levitated off the table. Got finished under general anesthesia. Good times. crazy

I went in, saw the needle and prepared for the worst............doc messed around and said "today's your lucky day"...........he couldn't do the procedure in the office.

Said he couldn't find a vas on the left side so would do the deal in the hospital, I'd be knocked out.

OK.

Woke up from anesthesia, couldn't open my eyes. Like a giant block of granite was sitting on me, crushing from head to toe. I hissed "what the F did you do to me?" and passed out. Woke up, same thing, knocked out again.

Think 3 to 5 times they morphined me.

Nurse was hot, big jugs too, didn't care. Apologized trying to get my socks on to leave.

Couldn't sit upright in wheelchair, the pain......they decided to admit me overnight. Told them they did enough damage and left.

The old lady packed 'em in frozen veg packs and I slept all night (woke up to eat and drink and go back to sleep).

Next day I'm on the couch miserable, stepson tries to be a good kid and mow yard. He couldn't get mower started, so I get up and pull start, and push mow the yard.

Feel like sheite, on the couch w icepack or mowing yard, no diff. The woman says I have a huge bump on my side. Yup, like a vacuum cleaner hose, I lay down and push my guts back in.

Miserable.

Go to work, same thing. Massive pain. Go to reg doc, and then to specialist..........yup, hernia.

Get that fixed a week later and feel better. But not good. Now it feels like my balls are in a frying pan on red/orange glow and getting tapped with a hammer. 24/7.

There are also these "lightning storms" of pain......whole body cramps up.

This crap goes on for a yr, solid. Then maybe every other day for the next yr. Then once a week for the 3rd.........finally something "popped" (scared me) and everything was gone pain/lightning storm wise within 3 months.

Of course I did my job to my size 1 old lady w a perfect ass..........the whole time. Brutal. Now that everything is OK.............she files for divorce and leaves LOL.

Oh well.

Turns out I'm missing a vas on one side because I'm also missing a kidney. Some acronym for it, common with premies......hell I never knew.

Lefty is brand new........never used...........guess I'm saving it for somebody special.

Oh yeah, after hernia op and all the pain from the nut deal, they did X ray to check for missing kidney (they should have done that instead of going exploratory while doing the vasectomy- that is what damaged all the nerves and gave me a hernia on top of it).

Told them I don't do well with lobster, say different iodine isotope.....it'll be OK.

Nope, turn red all over, boiling hot, like wrapped in fiberglass.

Total clusterfork.

Made it through OK, but for 3 yrs I didn't do much, couldn't do much........the pain.

Balls never bruised, swelled or nuthing. Everything else was a mess.

Never have another local dr do a procedure on me ever again. Even a specialist........think all the losers work in my burg.

I think the only reason I made it through that ordeal was due to the pain being constant. You can get used to stuff.

Was 8 our of 10 with multiple daily spikes to 15 the first yr. Then 6 with spikes to 10 a couple times a week, then maybe 4 with spikes to 8 once a month.

Then "pop" and 3 months later........fine.

It sucked. Luckily my job was under a miscroscope, so I had a good chair and just sat there rebuilding stuff for 16 hrs a day.

That intense focus job probably helped deal with the crap too.

If you have both vas and the docs don't dig around looking for stuff, should be a minor deal.

Think my condition is 1 in 15K or maybe it was 25K.
Most folks don't know they've only got one nut hooked up (or missing a kidney).......until they have some procedure done.

While my snip became an ordeal, pretty damn horrible.....I'd guess others properly piped and being rerouted by a union plumber...........should be no big deal.

If your dr cant find a vas and wants to do the hospital version.........DEMAND and kidney/die X ray first.....

avoid the hernia crap (which might have added most of the pain, or kept things from healing as fast as they should have). Think the mesh from the hernia abraded nerves to the nuts. Scar tissue popped and things quit rubbing, all good after a couple months.

AFTER 3 yrs of BS (the first yr was freakin' brutal).

The person graduation dead last in their class in medical school is still called "doctor".

Sounds like you need different ones.

Read in a Mens Health mag a guy had a hernia repair, his balls felt like hit w hammer off and on. Doc said it could be 6 months, turned out it took a yr to go away.

Dunno what all got messed up on me, took 3 yrs to get back to normal.

No probs after that. Been 20 yrs.

Mine was fifty years ago. I was back in business before the stitches were gone. Never any pain.

As I sit here next to my daughter of one year at the ripe old age of 42 I am still glad I had my junk intact.I am however pissed at her for spitting on her underwear.

She got fixed after the last one.

You better hope that Novocaine or lidocaine works as a pain killer. During my initial talk with the doc I asked what they used for a painkiller and he said lidocaine. I asked if it was basically the same as novocaine and he said similar but much better, and he asked me why I asked. Told him novocaine had absolutely no affect on me and he said not to worry. Well during the procedure he was doing his thing, and I could feel everything that was going on but it wasn't too uncomfortable til he said well we're all done and all I have to do is just cauterize down here. He had his little tray sitting above my chest with his instruments on it and when he went to cauterize, I swear to God, it felt like somebody put a weed burner blow torch on my nuts! I bolted upright, the tray with all his instruments flew across the room and he jumped back with a surprised look on his face saying "you felt that?". I said "your God damned right I did"! He asked me if I had been feeling everything and I told him yeah but it wasn't too uncomfortable. I proceeded to tell him we were done and I'm getting out of here. He said I can't let you leave unfinished and I told him if he tried that again I swear I'd knock his ass out. They ended up having to knock me out to finish the cauterizing. No bad affects afterwards, not a big deal, but you'd better hope that whatever they give you for painkiller works or you'll be performing the quickest sit up you've ever done in your life - and a blow torch on your nuts IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION!

I had mine done 44 years ago. Don't remember much pain or much of anything else about it. Wife bought me a copy of Playboy to read while I was recovering. grin If there are delayed complications or long-term side effects, they'd better hurry up and get here before I succumb to old age...

I"m thinking, could be wrong though, that if locals don't work on your nuts, then aything you have done with locals is going to hurt like hell.... just saying...

As most have noted, zero issue with mine done in 1998 after son number three surprised us eight years after son number two... As also noted, do make sure the shots are working. Mine didn't initially and the first cut sent me off the table. Other than that a piece of cake. wink
