Not sure about you gals, but I don't want to be that one guy in a 1000 that has pain every time I shoot a load. Can't say swelling balls does much for me either.
Can't blame you a bit If I had it to do,over I wouldn't do it
Lived thru it and fine now, but the first year I paid one helluva price
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

It seems to be more like 2-3 out of 100 that have serious long term issues..
Whats the point of trying to have no risk sex if is isn't fun anymore.
Just get one side done. If it isn't too bad, go back and do the other.
A friend of mine got to BSing with the doctor. Nut one went fine. Nut 2 sent him to a new level. The doc forgot to numb that side. If there are handprints in the steel table, you probably have the same doctor.
Broncos are officially the worst team in the nation this year.
I Came down with bad case of ESS (Enlarged scrotum syndrome) aftert he procedure. Don't let anything come between your testes and you...

George, I don't know if I buy that novocain works on everybody, they just didn't give you enough thought. I needed 4 teeth pulled years ago and the dentist gave me 15-18 shots, can't remember the exact number anymore but do remember he said he had given me 3 times as much as it should of taken to get the job done. Still hate dentists to this day, all those shots and the only affect it had on me was it felt like my tongue was thicker than normal, didn't do a damn thing to numb anything.
Buddy had it done years ago and felt frisky after a couple of days. His wife called us and his nuts were the size of a basketball so we had to put him in the bed of the truck to haul him to the ER.
He probably should have waited a little longer.

I think 40's and older is the right time for kids, ideally. You don't need as much sleep, up several times to pisss anyway, social life is waning, more mature emotionally, etc. Having kids in your partying 20's is a drag and gets in the way of picking up chicks. 😁

My wife wants me to get snipped but I'm scared Schittless of both needles and don't trust the medical profession as a whole..
I tried to to do it last week, but when the needle came out, I put my pants back on and hauled ass out of the office..
That being said, I did some research afterwards and it seems that there is chance of long term pain, early onset ED, etc associated with the procedure..
Anyone have any words of advice or have any complications?
Wear a jock for a week afterward. Use a rotation of 4 packages of frozen peas and carrots (the medley) as an ice pack for two days after. Don't do anything stupid like play golf or hike for a week.
You'll be fine. Did mine 15 years ago and was also scared [bleep]. It's not the most pleasant of procedures, but it's not a big deal.

Teeth needed pulling because they were bad likely. Meaning they likely had a minor infection... cousin did that to me to soon once... same result, had to go home for a few days more of antibiotics. Came back and handful of shots and all was fine....
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
I'm 42 and the wife just gave birth to our second.
We talked about it. I ain't going to do it.
42 and a child birth. I"d be ready to hang myself.....
Based on your experience having kids?
Because of my experience of not having kids. No use for them personally, wife feels same. If we'd have had one in our 40s, we'd be ready to retire before the kid was out of school.
Different strokes, but not for us.
Cousin had one at 50ish... will be mid 60s before Luke is out of school... I watch them suffer and struggle being that old with a kid. They wouldn't trade it though. I wouldn't want it period.

Rost495, it wasn't a case of bad teeth or an infection, just too much crowding and he said to keep them all straight four of them needed removed. I'm not a guy that touches or needs much medication either, I just think some medications just don't work on the chemistry of some people.

I understand what you said and agree, in that I didn't want to be an old dad so I had mine in my early 20s. First one wasn't exactly planned lol but my wife and I had absolutely planned on kids anyway so we rolled with it. Wouldn't change a thing even if I could.
My point was not having had kids you can't understand why a a couple would be willing to do it again in their 40's. Kids are a blessing, but not for everyone for sure! I wish more folks were as pragmatic about it as you and didn't have kids they didn't want or weren't prepared to care for.

Many lay folks use "Novocain" as a catch name for any and all local anesthetics I think because dentists did seem to use it more than any other local anesthetic. At least they did back in the day.
Locals act at the nerve cell wall by depoarizing it (ion exchange) and keeping it so for the duration and since everybody is mostly more than less the same physiologically, they work on everybody. I have had people tell me locals didn't work on them through the years -- did you feel that? Well, no. See?
Also there are proprioception nerves (transmit pressure and touch) that are distinguished from other sensory nerves that transmit pain and while the latter may be perfectly blocked -- no pain at all, the patient might feel pressure. That unnerves some folks who then interpret that as the block is not working and "I feel it; I feel it!!
As I mentioned before real Novocaine is an ester and doesn't work well in a bloody milieu because cholinesterases in the blood break it down or can. Also, NO local anesthetic works well at the site of a bad infection due to ph changes in the tissue which affect the drug's ability in polarizing the nerve cell walls.
I quit using ester local anesthetics in the 80's in spinal anesthesia because one would often pop through an epidural vein and I'd then get a bad or spotty block. At least I am pretty sure that was the reason. I Switched to the amides (lidocaine and bupivicaine are the masthead examples) and presto -- no more spotty blocks.
Sorry, but 15-18 shots would have me bidding that Dentist sayonara -- probably for good. And I'd think about sending him a bill...😫
Needless to say, after all those shots without doing any good, I said enough is enough and walked out never to return. And it wasn't pressure that was causing my white knuckle clutching of the chair, or the cussing coming out of my mouth. It was kind of funny when I walked out and looked at the kid waiting to be next - he was white as a ghost, and if his mom wouldn't of been clutching his arm, he'd of probably been at least a mile away still hauling ass.
Kids aren't for everyone! One of my wife and I's best friends dont' have or want kids, just not for them. I respect that decision, kids are a lifetime commitment!
We had ours in our mid-20s. They are out of college, out of the house and off our bank account now! Heading into our mid-50's with health, money and the desire to have fun and travel is a blast!
