whats everyones favorite cooler? Looking for a 40-45qt one. Almost decided on an Orca but was curious about a couple others. Vibe has one significantly cheaper that gets solid reviews. Also looking at Grizzly. Just curious if u guys have any experience with these or possible others. Thanks!

Buddies Pelican is a brick chithouse... and holds ice better than our 3 brands so far... have not purchased one yet though...

as long as ice is cheap, I'm staying with an Igloo/Coleman. When that stuff gets $15 a bag, I might get a HEAVY cooler.

I can buy a lot of ice for what those coolers cost-- As long as you are camping/fishing/hunting near a store that works to an extent. Many of us aren't.

I've always had good luck with the inexpensive ones, but then i don't open mine every 15 minutes like many do.

I have a Pelican 70 QT cooler that is bomb proof. That said I spotted a 70 qt Igloo rotomolded cooler at Costco for 200 bucks the other day. I am picking it up the next time I go to the store.

I'm still using the cheap model Igloo I bought back in '07 but someday plan on getting a much better unit. I would look real seriously at a Pelican or a Grizzly. Both are terrific based on what I've seen and heard from owners. I could have got a better Igloo 10 years ago but they had the cheaper models on sale and I couldn't resist I've also heard Grizzly has great customer service if you break something or need a part.

Not sure if it's their store brand, but Costco also offers a brand named KYSEK. Rotomolded, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than the big name brands. Check it out at costco.com.

Why do they make the inside white so it shows every stain. Nice tan or gray could hide stains pretty well

I know several campfire members have bought the RTIC coolers and are very happy with them.
I purchased igloo's sportsman rotomolded cooler thru Sam's Club and have been very happy with it.

I purchased an ARTIC 65 qt cooler last summer. Price was reasonable, less than 120 bucks. However, the cooler weighs 32lbs empty. Loaded up with freezer goods it needs wheels and, at least, a 5 horsepower motor of some sort.
The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first.

I have a Cabela's 65 qt. Given to me. Not sure who makes it, but it is solid. Also have a Yeti 120 qt.I got it off Craigslist for less than half price. I wouldn't buy either one again. Too heavy.

Bought and Igloo Sportsman thru Sam's Club. It has been the bomb. Great deal and great cooler. Have friends who sprung for Yeti's, they (the Yetis) have a tendency to grow legs and walk off.

40qt Cabelas holds ice for 3-4 days. I had originally bought the 65qt but it was too big.
