I don't know... AT & T...

IN my MN days, guy across the street has a house built on a vacant lot...
custom home...

then spent a fortune on having it landscaped, etc...

out comes the phone company, while he is gone out of town on business and his
wife was flying, being an airline stewardess....

phone company comes out to find a junction box that they had a repair order for..

they can't find it so they figure it must be buried... they dig up half the guys yard and leave a
hole, more like a crater, big enough to park an Abrams tank in...

can't find it so they leave.. and leave the trailer and the backhoe parked on the street...

guys comes home to this, calls the phone company, gets the run arround...

so he hires and attorney... they are going to take the phone company to court.

3 months later he wins his lawsuit.. judge tells the phone company to fill the hole up..
awards no damages and tells the home owner, that even tho his yard was landscaped and
he was required to maintain it due to city laws, since it was on the right of way... the phone company
has no responsibility except to fill the hole up... homeowner must pay to have landscaping down again.

The trailer with the back hoe was left there for 4 to 6 weeks for some reason.

The entire stupid thing was, the junction box they were looking for was not in that guys yard
it sat right across the street from where they were digging, on the corner of my lot.

They saw it, but their maps and info said the one they were suppose to repair was in his lot, not mine..

I have NO Love for any of the major land line phone companies....

cell phones are one of the best things to ever happen to communications in my opinion...

"Goes Jorge on them...." laugh. Sorry Jorge. I just couldn't resist grin

A new phrase is born; the only problem is that only readers of "The 'Fire" will understand it.

At least we know it wasn't a .270, they'd have bounced off the sidewalls.

“He seemed to be a quiet man, and something made him snap today,” he said.

This caught my attention, I bet it was those trucks parked out front his house that made him snap.

Dealing with utility companies will make you snap. So will Friday traffic. Plus fish. Very frustrating. And puppies. Puppies really make me snap. Tires. Oh I just hate tires! Make them stop!!

Cecil B. DeMille is lucky that Jorge didn't have a problem with being videoed.
