Any time friendo.

That is where they really shine IMO. Softer knives that are in need of attention in short order.

Although I did use it on my TrailerMaster and it made that bitch into a razor blade in short order.

I'm going to have to order a couple of flave's sharpeners to compare.

Those are great but I wouldn't consider the Rada a tool for touching up.

Matter of fact one of the kitchen knives I used it on lost a bit of edge and I just hit it with a steel and it's right back.

Travis, It's an Ontario Ranger Falcon. A little brute. 1/4" 5160 stock, full tang. A little big knife. I like it.

I got mine from Walmart.com for $65 delivered. Stripped the blade and honed the heck out of it to get the edge I wanted.

I didn't know if I would like it, but I kept coming back to it and figured what the hell. Turns out I really like it for an every day belt knife. I use it all the time.

The issue sheath is ridiculously huge for the size of the knife. I ordered a kydex from 7 Rattles Bushcraft. Perfect.

This is the issue sheath, the Falcon, and the custom kydex with large tek-lok.

Hahaha. Yeah, I can see not caring for that original issue sheath. Jesus Christ.

Never heard of 7 rattles. Do you just send them the knife?

7 Rattles is a small custom shop. Veteran owned business. Pretty much a one-man operation.

The owner has a lot of knives in the shop for forming, I didn't need to send the knife.

I'll be damned if this isn't the best $7.00 you can spend for a layman's kitchen.

Yes I can put an edge on a knife in a traditional fashion and yes I can use a steel. But this thing flat works and if you want a gift idea...

Dave
I have one of the Smith's little $5.00 sharpeners. If you have a knife that gets daily use, these are the cat's ass for sure. My little Smith's ceramic/carbide sharpener gets it sharp enough to sort-of shave with, and that's good enough for my daily pocket knife.

I do not endorse the Smith.

That one works for a little while, then the knife gets to the point where it does nothing.

Just bought a Ken Onion Worksharp for the boat. See how that goes.

Ken Onion worksharp is good to go. Finally got around to using it this morning.

Finally got around to trying out the Rada on a few knives last night. Clark wasn't lying. 5 to 6 times each through the wheels and I had them shaving sharp.

My left arm is now bald

Broke down and order 3 via eBay - good deal - they work. Even the wifey can use it.
