Does it strike anyone else as ironic that this thread is about a schoolyard bully, and the main protagonist is a racist tree cutter?

Naw, I'm just as able to hire the crookedest, sorriest lawyer in the county as the other side is. Justice depends on the size of your checkbook in this country. I don't agree with the system, but beating your head against it is stupid.

I don't advocate kicking somebody's ass that doesn't deserve it. Mutual combat between kids is one thing, but the way this is described-somebody could get hurt badly. You hurt one of my kids and you are going to pay physically. I hold the parents responsible.

Back in the day, our high school football team whipped every team around-badly. The best anybody did was within two touches. This wasn't due to the kids on the team-the coach ran the score up for his own ends. At any rate, this understandably, didn't endear us to the communities surrounding us. One night, the community immediately north of ours decided that they would kick our asses before we got out of town. Never happened. Now numbers could tell and so could weapons, but barring some way-out scenarios, how is a team whose asses you just thoroughly whipped on the field going to whip YOUR ass off of it? Same thing with the courts...

I don't roll over and play dead.

Mike

hope I didn't give that impression by my post.

Most of the stuff I've learned in life fighting and just about anything else I've learned a good deal of it the hard way, by someone that knew it or was better at doing than myself.

Not all have been gentle lessons, but I try to not have to learn the same lesson twice.

I like to think of myself as a nice, friendly guy, but you could find some dissenters of said opinion.

I don't really give a rip about opinions like Mike's. I replied to the thread because I thought I was bringing something that hadn't been discussed in the way I was discussing it. There's not too many things that kids do that can't be worked out by the adults in their lives, if said adults are rational, reasonable human beings. And if they're not, then sometimes they can be brought around to seeing it the right way by some righteous pressure judiciously applied.

One of the friends I had in school knocked out the U of Neb. nose tackle-grabbed him by the hair, pulled his head down, and kicked him in the face 6 times.BUT 5 Japanese blackbelts went outside with the bouncers at a bar(4linebackers from the U) and ended up taking naps. Skill is all well and good, but you need to be able to hit them where it hurts hard enough to do some good.

You're probably right about Tom Petty. I've heard that about him, but I also heard he used to kick your ass everyday. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

You're the winner!! Finaly someone figured it out. Was wondering how long it would take. My comment back on page one is directed straight at the "Alaskan Jackazz". Why anyone would even wanta act like that "ignorant cull" is for one second even a bit humorous is pathetic. Only a coward would continuously act the way he dose. To "rib" is fine but to disrespect, belittle, and worse than anything start throwing racial slurs about is not only childish at best it's also very poor representation of this site and it's members. I at times am pretty much upset with myself for lowering myself to this punks level. But after watching this "crap" go down over the last couple years I have grown to not only dislike Stick but would love to manipulate his little bitch head right off his shoulders. He is the biggest jackass I've never met. I do and will continue to permanatly use the ignore user on him. I hope others follow suit. Stick is not a decent person at all. Is more than likly an alcoholic and this site and the world is better off without the like's of him. In fact when this got racial the management of this site should have put a stop to it. Stick get a life! Or better yet get"dead". I for one could careless if you were!. As for this thread the kids grandpa is gonna have some options for the boy. I really hope that one of those options also is to teach him not to be a jackazz himself. And that it's not ok to be a bullie. Not ok to walk around pickin fights. But when attacked fight as if it's life or death situation. To brawl is never a promising idea. Just ask some of the men who are in prison because they hit someone and the guy fell over hit his head and died!

I don't think you're getting it. Dude that asked for advice was the boy's grandpa-an adult. If the boy asked for advice 'cause he didn't want his mama involved, some of us would have said some different stuff. I teach my six-year-old girl to leave the teachers out of it and take care of it herself-unless it's an adult or some kid way bigger than her. Tattling doesn't do any good in the end.

Two kids duking it out are one thing. Multiple assailants out to do real damage-which is what it sounding like in the beginning of this thread, is another. Parents who stand down and just let it happen when kids are doing real damage to one another deserve to have their kids removed from the home.

I've never not got it.

There's two sides to every story and being able to take care of your own business,is never a concession.

Someone who blows the Mommy Trump Card, does so out of conditioning,to that being their perpetual answer....................

Naw, you don't get it. Nobody on here ever talked about "blowing to mommy". The scenario presented was that the parents already knew about all this, as they should. You're just blowing about nothing.

creepingdeath,

Have you ever heard the word "satire" my friend.

When Mr. Stick's comments are viewed in this manner, they are not only much more palatable, but hillarious to say the least.

I've the luxury of being the even-keeled/temperate sort.

Thus far, you've threatened to whip kids, parents and hire snakey lawyers, then tattle as frosting.

Compelling...................

I'd wager that "creepingdeath" is a Chick and an ugly one to boot.....................

I'd rather have my kid let me know whats going on. Taking his licks? Learning by doing? All well and good, and all of which presume a certain level of decency and restraint on the part of the other party.

But... if the other kids a psycho, or in an actual gang, or just mean backstabbing scum then I want to know... too much of that going around nowadays. I figure I am a better judge of what my kid can handle then he is, or was, he's full growed now.
