What 4yr old kid, don't know what a Chink looks like?

Can only imagine my kids frustrations,of not being suitable candidates to work at a Dry Cleaners or serve flied lice at the ChingChang Dynasty.

I've this innate notion, they'll survive them "setbacks"...................

I realize that you're not an educated man, but you remind me of a simple study done with toddlers of all different races, kids who had never seen other kids of color. What do you suppose the kids did when put together? They played. They didn't hate any physical differences in the other kids. They didn't seem to notice, actually. Hate is taught by bottom feeders like you, Shtick.

I also find it amusing that an uneducated guy such as yourself who has made a living doing manual labor would have any moral high ground to pass judgment on others' occupations such as the cleaners and cooks you refer to. But I guess you're on the right track as far as your kids and their futures. I'll try to be nice to them when they ask me and my family over the Wendy's intercom if I'd like fries with our meal, as they're not really responsible for their station in life. You are.

You have to "try" and be nice to kids that work at a drive in restaurant?

Just kidding, I know what you're trying to do, but it really ain't necessary from what I can tell.

my guess if you pulled your weight on a job with him Stick would be pretty much color blind.

Though know one would know it when they hit the bar after work as he'd be calling them whatever descriptive term would get a rise outa the most folks. But my guess is not much of a rise outa his coworker, he'd know where he stood with him by then.

Could be wrong, but hanging out up here seems to get you fairly adept at reading sign.

I don't know if Stick ever mounts the fish he catches or not, but would surprise me none to see a wall in his house with Campfire threads printed out and stuck up on the wall, especially some of the looooong ones he's perpetrated.

Drinking a beer and telling his pards, "I hooked this one with a _________ and look how much line I gave him, played him till he spit the hook."

He do love to work the needle and the hook from where I sit.

I would dearly love to hear him mouth off to strangers where I come from. He'd get a rise, allright. He'd get torn apart like a chicken dinner.

Here, his pards would be frantically dialing 911. If only...

Well, it is annoying when I give kids extra change to make their job easier at the drive-through, and they look back painfully confused, the concept of addition and subtraction somewhere far beyond their level of comprehension...

Can't imagine raising a family in a place that drive-bys are common print in the morning paper........

I've seen it happen.

It ain't so much the drive by ya gotta worry about, which event has fallen out of style a bit, its more the mindset that would do a drive-by which is more common.

And more common than that is the kid that THINKS he has or WANTS to have the mindset to do a drive-by. Lots of kids have cable nowadays. Both the wannabees and the genuine articles can be dangerous to a decent kid.

I'll put it this way, many folks here go about armed, in case of the often remote happenstance that they'll run into a bad guy. If your kid attends any large school most anywhere he prob'ly walks by bad guys every day.

Figure one kid in a 100 is venomous, 1% of 2000 is 20, all collected in the same building.

So yeah, I'd make a point of knowing who my kid who is at cross-purposes with.

EVERYBODY here, has a rifle or pistol in their rig, simply as a course of business.

Couldn't fathom someone taking a poke and living to tell about it,by the end of Main Street..................

Stick, where have you been, living in the woods?

I'm recalling in their heyday the Chinese SKS or AK was touted on some streets as a perfect drive-by remedy, being both affordable and rapid fire.

The idea of a drive-by is (or was, they have gotten rarer of late) to be there one moment, gone the next, partly on the assumption that the target could otherwise shoot back, and lots of them took place in places where guns were common. Return fire was nonetheless pretty rare.

Funniest drive-by story I ever heard was from a guy who was in his front yard at a family gathering one evening when comes a car rolling down the street, windows open, lights out.

Sure enough guns stick out from the car as it rolls closer... and everybody, kids, grandma, aunties, uncles, cousins, hits the deck or dives for cover...

"pop" "pop" "pop"....

....they were using paintball guns.

creepingdeath,

Have you ever heard the word "satire" my friend.

When Mr. Stick's comments are viewed in this manner, they are not only much more palatable, but hillarious to say the least.

JMHO

Not to put too fine a point on it, I think it is more hyperbole than satire.

There's them that'll prolly never get it and I never fret about 'em.

djmbow says:

Well, whether it's hyperbole or satire, it's some pretty good bait Mr. Stick is usin' to hook some of the fish around here.

Doesn't seem to work too good on them Steelheads though (grin).

Thought it would be a lot harder to get one of us MA boys with that stuff, but guess I was wrong.

It appears that boy keeps gettin' snagged up all over this forum no matter what kind of bait people use.

Keep on casting Mr. Stick, never can tell what you might hook into in these waters...............(Laffin' like hell)

Naw, I'm just as able to hire the crookedest, sorriest lawyer in the county as the other side is. Justice depends on the size of your checkbook in this country. I don't agree with the system, but beating your head against it is stupid.

LOL.. How true. A great quote by the late Johnny Cochran tells it all: "The color of justice is green, my friend."

From the FAQ here-

"Registration as a User implies acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
- Participants shall not post any material likely to cause offence, that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right - without the express permission of the owner of such copyright - or that contains personal phone numbers or addresses."

One would think that posting racial slurs multiple times, would be offensive to some-especially to someone of that race.

Considering that I got warned for talking about the fighting skills of folks on the board awhile back ("might be considered threatening"),I think Stick ought to tone things down a tad, even though Rick or Art is never going to do anything about it,as we all know.

Redneck,

You are referring to Ed O'Neill. He has been training Brazillian Jiu Jitsu under Helio Gracie for about 9 years. He is very good to say the least. BJJ is the real deal.

He probably studies with Royce or Rorion, who are Helio's sons.Helio has been retired for years and lives in the mountains of Brazil. He's well into his 90's and in great health, and still taps out young punks occasionaly just to keep his blood flowing.

If you've ever seen a video of him, you'll know he literally has the biggest wrists for a man his size you'll ever see.He also must have balls about the same size, because he fought some guys 2-3 times his size in no holds barred chalenge matches that went on for hours. He fought one guy for 3 hours. When he fought Kimura (who came up with the submission named after him,BTW),he weighted well over a 100 pounds more than Helio, but he still went an hour and a half with him before his brother threw in the towel due to a broken arm.

He's one tough dude.

WB.

PS-back in the 40's or 50's,Helio challenged Joe Louis to a no holds barred match. If Joe won,Helio would pay him $50,000.If Helio won,Joe wouldn't have to pay him a dime.Joe Louis said no to the fight.......even though he was literally twice as big as Helio.FWIW.

I've banged a few Chinks and would state as means of comparitive evaluation, they really didn't show me anything in that department either.

Would be easy to scratch 'em off the list for everything, barring Laundry services, they got that down................

There's a big difference between baiting someone and throwing around those kinds of slurs.

We're all big boys, we can take it. And doing verbal combat with bottom feeding trumpet monkeys like Stick is nothing new for most of us. But this kind of stuff is embarassing to be honest. And it has me wondering if this is the kind of site I want showing up on my managers report. I have complete freedom to surf while the computers run but this kind of stuff has me wondering if I want my manager to drop in and read a little.

On a side note, I have to wonder about some of the church going folk who lectured me on my unorthodox religious views and yet see fit to stop in on this thread without offering the slightest objection. Don't they teach the bounds of decency in church anymore?

Don't think landromat or small restaurants, think anything relating to computers, science or any sort of technical business.

Turns out there's plenty of stereotypes floating around in that arena, most of them offensive to me, as an American. Probably that's where I developed such as sharp distaste for that sort of talk. It means your always starting at a deficit with newbs, especially troublesome when they're managers. I know "relish the challange" ... yada yada ... but there's enough challenge already, IT industry has taken some wrong turns with technology decisions in the last 5-10 years and nobody's real sure how to get back on track at this point (can google for "Vietnam of Computer Science") so challenge abounds without the extra unnecessary component ...

I do like your work ethic, that short description you gave in this thread was a classic in fact that I've not seen in writing, and I know it's real because I recognize it in myself in my better phases. From what I've read I also don't doubt your intelligence, which is why I bet you'd find some of the stereotypes I have to swim around offensive too, were you surrounded day in and day out...

Great post.Bravo.

Stick will respond with-"You're ignorant. You didn't even read my post. Are you stupid or something?",or something along those line. But it will be harder to understand than that......

I'm convinced that Stick comes on here absolutley blotto and just starts spouting off. He's not being witty. He's just being a drunken ass and he's no different than the bar rat down the street.

The only reason he's not shunned here is that he's considered an authority on plastic rifles and Barnes bullets. For that,he can get away with murder.
