As the smoke slowly drifts away and the embers of self-righteous outrage lie dormant until the next episode of false ...defence...against free speech, I wonder, what have we all learned from this? MY take is that I actually have GAINED respect for most of the regular hardheads on this forum and while I might not employ the same terminology as Stick does, I respect his right to speak his mind.
I just wennt through a total confiscation of my entire gun collection, on the whim, largely, of a Vancouver Police ERT "leader" and, through my own efforts, got them back today, after nearly two weeks. A number of my quite rare, collectible and very hard-to-find rifles sustained "accidental" damage to their stocks and complaints about this are utterly useless. I SEE and KNOW what is happening in North America today and this is the ONLY forum I have found that is worth regularly participating in; it is a weapon against the rising statist totalitarianism that surrounds us.
So, I tend to speak freely and strongly support those who also do and I DO NOT TRUST ANYONE who continually tries to suppress free speech on ANY grounds, especially the spurious, trendy false one of "racism". WE died in our hundreds of thousands in two major wars to preserve freedom; do we want to destroy it now in order to appease a questionable attitude about what is acceptable to an obviously biased few? Isn't negative commentary upon one's education, age or supposed infirmity every bit as much bigotry as negative remarks concerning race?
