Settling with a washed up malcontent claiming collusion is suicide. They have a strong case to fight from in that he's always been a mediocre quarterback who opted out of his contract and is disruptive to the team with his SJW grandstanding. Settling on the charge of collusion would open the floodgates for lawsuits. They caved to the protesters and the left. If they settle this thing, as you say, an army of lawyers will be at their door with other lawsuits.
