I got a few pre-War carbines this past year and needed to shoot something with them. I took the 270 (Pre-Creedmoor) to Eastern Montana and went hunting for Mule Deer. It was cold, but not slick or muddy and we found some nice deer. We all got one, here is mine and my son's...

Also, what bullet and distance and was the bullet recovered, please?

No recovered bullets, he was using a 270 as well with 130 grain Nosler BT. Mine was at around 100 yards, his was a bit farther at 475...
