Oh yeah. Both are awesome Bullets. Bob and I kinda went back and forth some on the Swift’s. He hadn’t shot any BG with them so a couple of us tried them out that fall (and this year) and I’ve been very impressed with them. They do expand pretty flat and wide so they aren’t going to exit on shots all of the time but to me it’s been a no brainer since animals haven’t really gone anywhere to speak of.

The 338 recovered above was very impressive to me after digging through the wound channel a little. Crushed the on side leg and was tucked in the hide on the far side. Slapped that bull down and I didn’t have enough time to take a second shot when he popped up and rolled down the hill.

I know the 210 at 2950 didn’t stink. I couldn’t imagine a 300 at that sorta speed.

Gunner I use the 160gr Speer Grand Slam in a 7X57 AI. It works like the hammer of Thor. Took a lot of big stuff in Africa with it including a cull Giraffe. I wouldn't hesitate to take it elk hunting.

Thanks GSP, I still have a few of the old style 175 SGS's I shoot on my '09 DWM 7x57mm, it's a hell of a bullet as is I'm guessing the 160 you speak of, gonna spin turrets out to 6/700 yards for hunting with my Mashburn, I'm leaning hard towards the 160 gr Accubonds for all game, really like the b.c. for a standard hunting bullet.

I have some of the 160 AB for a custom built 275 Rigby (just to be different you know) but haven't loaded any yet. I have used the 140's with great success out of a rifle I had built in 7MM-08 on a Ruger #1 action and in my M70 7MM carbine....yes it's a pre64 smile

Pretty hard to beat any of the good Bullets out there from 154-180 grains in the Mashburn. It quickly climbed to the top as one of my favorite cartridges. Thinking I’ll be working the 175 PT and BBC for this fall.

Another Winchester kill, youth modern gun is today and tomorrow. There were several doe in the clear cut at twilight when we arrived this morning. We were there less than 10 minutes when this guy showed up.

Classic FWT .270 running 130 Accubond/RL-22. Double lung hit right at 200 yards. He mule kicked and made it 50 back into the timber.

Feb 2017 feral Duroc sow . Weight estimated at 600 pounds by landowner. It dwarfed other hogs taken (250-300 pounders) .
Shot off hand at 50 yards with pre 64 M70 featherweight .308 - one shot and down. Still eating the breakfast sausage.

Sorry, but forgot to take picture of rifle, you all know what an old M70 looks like anyhow.

I got a small WT buck with my M70 7x57. I'll try to get some pics up when I get a minute.

Bit late to this party (never shot a deer this past fall) but I was invited a few weeks ago to Texas by my good friend and former Ops Officer. I went and had a real good time, used my favorite 270 WIN, M70FW to shoot a small 50 lb pig the last night I was there. The 270 has a Douglas barrel and has always been an accurate rifle; I was pleased with my scope as well. A 70 yard shot into the woods at 8:15 pm, black to my eyesight - however I could actually see the spot for the pigs heart in through that Leupold. My first time to kill a pig or to hunt in Texas.

Good shooting and remember to come back to Texas and kill more pigs!
