I don't know anyone who has any use for a damned thief. I hope they are caught and stolen property returned forthwith.

it seems forcible entry into gun stores & pawn shops that inventory guns has become a regular part of the venue here in hotlanta.
hopefully the police will catch the perps & all merchandise recovered.
once, we had a gun shop owner "lie in wait" for the theifs. when they appeared, he opened with a full-auto .223. several were kilt on the spot as memory serves.
the police quickly tracked down the last suspect by following the blood trail left behind as he dragged himself down the sidewalk. they didn't even have to turn the dog loose.

people break-in and steal guns for a reason. i'm pretty sure of that.
isn't a short-gun more likely to be stole than a long-gun?
people are risking years in jail, for a mere gun?

people are risking years in jail, for a mere gun? They hold up a 7 to 11 for $50. Half the time they shoot the clerk.

Half the time they shoot the clerk. yep. true enough. those folks are not probably much like stealthy cat-burglars? the inner city citizenry in this nearby town/mega city is deadly afeared of guns. worked w/a dude for years whose son was a parttime convenience store worker. they shot him dead, and took the proceeds from the cash register. being robbed in a restaurant is about as bad. it happened in Macon, Ga. & probably elsewhere.

No doubt they have good camera surveillance as well as alarms but being located out in the 'boonies' like Whittaker's is the time it would take for any law enforcement department to respond probably allowed the thieves plenty time for a grab and run.
Bet it would've been a fun video to watch though if there'd been a couple or three real hard-core bad-azz pit bulls with full run of the store.

it probably wasn't, if there were real high quality product with street value to heist, and then re-distribute.
a real heist is probably a professional job? don't need no high school drop out kids to participate.
there's too much value & possible profit involved. a carefully planned heist is what it is.

Several around here in the past few months. Steal a pickup or Suborban, some heavy framed thing. Back it through the barriers, bars, window, walls. Grab everything in a hurry, run. From what is being taken I suspect arming some splinter group, either aryans, reconqistas, drug cartel, black power, or muslim moderates. Some group that cannot pass a background. I think the one LGS takes every gun and puts them in safes. Still, a couple times a gang came in with guns drawn and got the drop on the clerks.

There have been numerous break-ins at gun stores and pawn shops in the Nashville Tn. area lately. Every surveillance video they have showed has shown the perps to be Negroes.
Whitakers in pretty much out in the country, but I'd think that they would have an alarm and surveillance system that would be second to none.
