Spent many evenings and weekends aboard the Texas as a kid. It was NOT sunk anywhere to the north, is docked in the Houston Ship Channel, in Battleground Park, near the San Jacinto Monument. Worthwhile visits.

Mike Holmes The original USS Texas (launched 1892) was sunk in Chesapeake Bay. The Texas at SJ is the second model built in 1912. I was able to spend the night when I was 10 on a Boy Scout trip, and they also took us to un-restored normally off-limits sections of the ship. Very cool.
