Headed to the range chronograph in tow to see how these would do today. Temps were hovering around 15 degrees today. Packed extra 9 volt battery for my Chrono. Anyhow these were safe in my rifle, but work them up in your.

Over on nosler forums they have quick load on rl 26 and 180’s and 200’s Also beretz has info on the 200gr bullet in the 30-06. In the pet load thread some quick load data with 210gr accubond. Anyhow from what I was able to gather my load of 62.0grs is close to 63k according to quick load. I don’t think you can get enough of rl 26 into the case to run into any issues.

Hell of a job, nice work 79S, I've only shot 5 or 6 Elk, and have assisted on a couple, but, an accurate 2800+ fps with a 200 gr Accubond looks to me like the old '06 could indeed be a 500 yard Elk rifle if the need arose to shoot that far. smile

Cant think of anything in your state that wouldn't handily put down either, these new powders are a hoot playing with for a bunch of rifle loonys.

The 200 gr Partition has more bearing surface area than the Accubond, correct? Wonder what could be achieved with the 200 Partition and 26.

I was working up some loads with a Hornady 212 grain ELD-X....

the max amount of RL 26 you can get in a case, and allow it to be magazine fitting
is like 53 grains...

called Hornady, and they said that the bullet is so long, that in reality they recommend to
single feed it into most bolt action 06s unless it is a single shot rifle, like a Ruger Number 1.

they were recommending powders no faster than the 4350 burn rate...

RL 26 is like the burn rate of H1000 it seems...

RL 26 is close to imr 7828 and RL 25. Hornady manual they are getting 2650 with superformance powder using that 212gr eld-x ..Superperformance is considerably slower than h4350 but close to h4831. Anyhow they recommend a COL of 3.400 with the 212 ELD-X in the 06. That setup would not work upon my 06 that’s for sure. Far as AB versus Paritions I like the Accubonds and Partitions but nosler has a bunch of 200gr AB seconds for sale. Next time 200 partition pop up will snag some of them to try.

Also was getting 2815 with 180gr partitions, noslers max load of 62gr of RL22. That’s nothing to sneeze at either.

Buddy is running the 200 AB with RL26 in a 20” suppressed 30-06. That sucker shoots little 3/4” groups pretty easy and runs 2720. Really makes the old 06 look mighty different!

Reloder 26 is quickly showing to be a great powder in several calibers. It is my go-to in my 6.5 cm and also does well in my .260. I may have to try it in the old '06, too.

Interesting, now wishing I would have kept my stockpile of 200 partitions.

Now that's starting to sound like a miracle powder now..... I may try some in my ok 06 with 200gr partitions

RL 26 is too slow for use with bullets heavier than 200 grain, in an 06...

at least the Hornady ELD X and ELD Ms....

length of bullet and bulkiness of powder, doesn't give optimal velocity....

at least in none of my 06s...

was kind of a disappointment in my attempts of use with the heavier bullets...

... use superperformance that’s what hornady is using to get the 212gr bullet upto speed. Nosler on the other hand using RL22 with there 210 Accubonds so no doubt RL 26 will work upto 60grs according to quickload. I just posted this as info and help folks out. Everyone going to have different results..
