I'm supposed to watch out for any road construction and stay away from certain equipment that may be there.

I recently found ~50 factory primed new Frontier (yep getting old...) 308 Win brass that I have zero use for. I'll bring them if someone can use them.

I just MAY be able to borrow a cannon, and either get instruction on it's operation (blanks for me), or bring the owners to operate it. Well, the daughter informed me that the cannon needs repair (carriage wheel problems) - so that fell through!

Well if you bring it, I am sure someone can figure out how to break the rest of it
and then whoever at home can do a total rebuild on it from the ground up...
heck, someone may be even able to figure how to repair the carriage wheels there in Arizona..
maybe we can put some 31x 10.50s on it...

John, they use this in their re-enacting - and so are a bit particular. Daughter, SIL, and grandkids were supposed to be re-enacting down at Socorro, but SIL came down with pneumonia. That may keep them at home. The state actually pays them to attend re-enactments as part of their respective jobs We'll just have to see how well recovery goes.

How are the roads from Holbrook to Payson - would we be better off going another way?

He was always one of my favorite Germans to shoot at when he came to our Texas events! LOL. Give him my best! All I gotta do is load the truck and get some beer and ice. Going to try to leave about midnight tonight. Or there abouts. My .62 flint Jäger is packed for the firing detail! It's kinda like a cannon.

I don't have any loads in 45-70 in black powder, in fact I've never loaded BPCR.
Guess I'll leave the Sharps replica at home.
I'll bring a few other interesting items, though.
