MM Trick photography....;) As luck would have it, a few days later I saw a true monster. 9X7, also dark, bladed points and matching drop tines. Stood there with a handful of does for about three minutes at 200 meters. I hope he survives this nasty winter we're having.

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

Didja know that big one was around or was that the first sighting? That was the first and only time I saw him. When my pal George came out, we looked for him for a few days, until we ran into the buck he shot. That buck he took went 191". The 9X7 is quite bit bigger.

Yeah, I miss him too...........best hunter I've ever seen.
But you're about the only guy I know of that consistently kills the quality of animals that he did............that was a great bull you killed with a bow.

Yep, we did a lot of shows together besides hunting..........I was doing gunsmith work at the time & he sent a lot my way. Died way before his time. He was probably my closest friend for the 15 years or so before he died.
I stay in touch with Cash occasionally..........he's in ID Falls, not hunting much.

Nice deer!
How'd the Hybrid do on terminal performance? Took out both lungs, he ran about 100 feet, and tipped over. Bullet completely penetrated, leaving about a 3/4" exit.

I remember the brothers with Larry Barr and a huge, maybe state record buck they guided him to in a sleeping indian advertisement years ago, back when magazines were cool. Grin
Couple great guys died around the same time from cape buffalo, Bob Fontana also comes to mind. Shiity deal for sure....
