My wife and I were lucky enough to tag out last year in our home state of Arizona.

Can someone either post an email or send me a message with your email and I will forward you some pictures to post in this thread? Once the pictures are posted I will write up the story of what went down with the Hunts.

My wife smoked her bull on the 3rd morning of the hunt. Heart shot at 475 yards with my buddies 7mm and 168 vld.

That evening, we found my bull and a stud 360-370" bull at about 950. We closed to 676, and I got my 28 Nosler ready. The two bulls were going left, into the timber. All of A sudden, my I'll turned right. He stepped into the opening, my buddy stopped him and I let it rip. All we small was a small stumble from the bull, and he walked off. We didn't know for sure what happened so we backed out.

Next morning we came back to crows in the trees right where we saw him last. Perfect quarteting to shot and he made it 12 yards. The 28 Nosler and 180 hybrid made quick work of that bull, and my wife and I were super happy. That's her first animal other than a javelina.

Outstanding post, were you able to eat your bull? One of my friends did the same a few years ago and it soured before we got it cooled down.

Yes my bull was wonderful. It was 10° when we retrieved him the following morning.

Surprisingly enough, he was bloated and did not smell super great when we "popped" him (likely because the path of.the bullet included some guts on it's way out.)

But once we did the gutless method, the meat was fine.
