"It had me puzzled somewhat for a while, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was about Trump that set the Left over the edge immediately following the election and long before he took office.

Sure, I got that they were stunned that Her Royal Highness was defeated convincingly. No Al Gore hanging chad here. but a convincing loss. I never saw that enough to send them into a frenzy of "Resist!" and "Obstruct!" immediately. I figured it would die down and it never did. We have witnessed Trump attacked from the Dems, the MSM, from Soros groups and from within which is more frightening as we see what the people in the FBI were up to.

Why? Why not regroup and defeat him in 2020? What is the one issue that could mobilize them into a frenzy of hate? Then I discovered it surfing he Democratic Underground:

ABORTION!

Yes, my friends, that is the issue, that is the cause that has galvanized them into a fighting unit to rid them of Trump by hook or by crook. The Left was sure that they were going to HRC to appoint the replacement on the SCOTUS and tilt the Court to the Left 5-4. HRC would replace RBG and Kennedy and the Court would stay Left for the next generation.

With Trump's victory, they immediately realized that they were NOT going to get the next Justice to replace Scalia, and that it was very likely that Trump would be the won, with a GOP Senate to replace RBG and Kennedy. If that happens, the Left know they are the ones to lose the Court for the next generation.

With that, they have an over riding fear that a new abortion case would come before the court and that Roe v. Wade gets overturned. It matters not that R. v. W has been the law of the land for 45 years and is a political Third Rail, they fear that they will lose "their right to choose". This is why they have a full on attack of Trump and the Right. They will attack anything the Right hold dear. That especially means God and Guns.

The Right's major cause is the 2nd Amendment. Therefore, it is a target of the Left. Wound the Right, attack what they hold dear. Divide the Right, smear Trump, impeach Trump. What do they get if they impeach Trump? The smart ones know they get Pence, who is a strong Pro Life guy and that bothers them as much as Trump. They figure that with Trump out, the GOP will lose the WH in 2020, and they can replace RBG and Kennedy, and let the Progressive agenda march on. If they don't, then Trump and Co. will undo much of what Obama did, and much of what the Left did under W. Bush's last term.

That's as clear as I can sum it up. Everything else works off of that. The Christian Right abhors LGBT, so the Left is going to stick it in their face. Any gun violence (outside of the ghetto) will be an opportunity to stick it to the right. Open Borders dilutes the Religious Right's voting block, browns America, and make more Democrat voters.

Abortion is the only subject that can bring the Left to the streets to protest, to march, to scream shrilly, and to come unglued with anger. They aren't smart enough to understand trade, economics, the budget, or foreign affairs. They are and have been for 50 years a single topic voting block. They will accept any special interest group that will unite with them over that. "

Education and courts. Left has been way ahead in stacking those areas for decades. Repukes are to nice. While they are always worried about how nice their POSTUS should be the ENEMY has been laughing.

If the left really gave a damn about life, they wouldn't execute humans by the millions in the womb. Nothing they say can possibly convince me that any of this is about protecting life.

Agree totally. I think the linchpin in their program is abortion. Feminists make that their #1 issue. They can get the others on board by saying "fight for my issue and then I'll fight for yours". Right won't do that. "I'll fight for mine, and won't fight for yours if there is 15% of it I don't like."

Western Culture can be eliminated through negative population growth, open borders, and forced acceptance of immigrant culture diluting the home culture or suppressing/displacing it. The Left will do to Europe, and soon America what Hitler and Stalin couldn't. Defeat Europe and America.

I tend to think abortion is our winning issue. Abortion has mobilized many many millions on the right. Moreso than on the left in my experience. I think it helped put Reagan and others in office and I think its crippled politicians on the left for more than 40 years.

The left is fighting for a Socialist/Communist USA. Disarming all us citizens is the first step.

It did help Reagan because of the support of the "Moral Majority". The support of Reagan and the GOP from evangelicals and white Christian voters that made the Reagan landslide was the beginning of the all out hostility the Left has for Christian community and for God. Intellectual Leftists on both coasts are galled that simpletons in fly over country are on board with their "enlightened" view of the world. Just ask Joy Beher or Anderson Cooper.

If a case ever gets to the Supremes about abortion, Roe v. Wade falls, as it is not based on science at this point.

With the successful testing of an "artificial womb," the viability defense of Roe v. Wade is pointless. If that ever gets to The Court, it's over.

So, yes, it is one large galvanizing issue for the Leftniks, as they are on the thinnest of ice.

They’re not alone in their fight, there’s plenty of “conservatives” (useful idiots for the left) that are happy to help the left as witnessed here. The supposedly “right” leaning people have cleverly masked themselves as one of “us” but they’re quickly showing their ass to the rest of us that aren’t so quick to give up.

At least the left is honest and upfront about their plans to destroy the USA and our constitution, the “republicans” here are so quick to throw in the towel and quit if Trump doesn’t do exactly as they wanted him to do irregardless of whether they supporte him or not. The dumbasses that didn’t vote for him, now they think that we and Trump should give a flyingfuck what they think about his performance. Everyone has the right to say what they want but it doesn’t preclude them from looking like asses nor does it mean that we can’t call them out when they do.

The goal is to destroy the wealth gradient that exists along the southern border so that said border can be completely erased. That would effectively destroy the USA and clear the path to world government.

Abortion is just a bone thrown out to counterculture to keep their eyes off of Liberty. Indiscriminate sex without consequences is nothing but an addicting drug, and indiscriminate sex is the highest calling in pop culture. Those willing to bear the offspring see the other side of the card, which is subsidies forever. Youth are for the most part completely out of the loop.

Who out there voted for Trump because he "loves" the DACA people? Who voted for him because he would sign an Omnibus bill written by Pelosi and Schumer? Who voted for Trump because he said that he would drag old warmonger John Bolton out of mothballs and put him in his administration?

If you're so deep in denial that you have to lie to yourself that's your business.

I don't think abortion really has much to do with it, nor does the Second Amendment. If they were very concerned with abortion, they'd be worried about all the Democrat babies that are aborted each year, because the Democrat base is where the largest number of abortions occur. The gun thing might be in their sights, but it's something they can take on down the road.

Bristoe is right........it's our culture the left wants to change. They think we should all hold hands, sing Kumbaya, and all be alike.........queers, trannies, child molesters, straight people, Negroes, Latinos, Muzzies, White......multiculturalism, that's what they want, and they will never stop until they get it.

I see it about like this. Abortion is one social issue of many that they care about in tearing down Ameica and the ideas that we were founded on. Embracing transgenders as normal and mentally healthy despite all reason to the contrary, removing guns from the household, no longer teaching much American history in the schools, "whatever you feel is right because feelings are never wrong" fostering a week femine man that expects to always win a prize. Ect, etc. It's all part of the globalist playbook. I'm not sure that they hold abortion any higher than the rest of it.

One year into his presidency and one staunch conservative appointment to the SCOTUS and the armchair republicans are going to chew their legs off because their tail got stuck.

There’s a lot of ways the omnibus bill can be used to our advantage but the politically clairvoyant amongst us have already decided that the sky is falling. If they don’t get 100% of what they want right fugging now they’ll stomp their wittle feet and hold their breath and pout. I’m optimistic about the future under Trump and all you Chicken Little’s and surrender monkeys can hold your breath because your political clairvoyance and your make believe pretend imagination says so.

If the deep state is as deep as you believe Bristoe then I’d think you’d also understand that there’s many forces working against him and this chit doesn’t change overnight, no matter how long you hold your breath.

The left believes the Constitution is a living and breathing document that should be changed to however it fits their agenda. Guns, abortion, immigration and other issues are tools they use to "Divide and Conquer".

They want to put everyone in the same social and income bracket under a BIG government "Communism". They want control of everything about you. The "Divide and conquer" works for them because so many liberals are envious of success.

Anyone who hasn't surrendered is screaming bloody murder about the crap that Trump is *not* doing,....because they know that he's handing the government back over to the Democrats in 2020.
