A hacksaw, a bit of time with a good file, and my old M70 SS 375 is 3-4" shorter and balances SO MUCH better; they really are fine work tools when you fix them up right!

“Ultra rare?” Hey, I’ll use that if I ever have a brain fart and sell my 20” Sako TRG sporter. Thanks!😎

I had one, cut the obnoxious muzzle break off and ended up with a 22' barrel. Put on NECG iron sights, replaced the extractor and magazine spring with spring steel ones, had it "fixed" so it would hold 4 in the magazine, was gonna get the bolt collar welded, but gave to my son-in-law as a gift. I told him to get the bolt welded and have it Mag na Ported.
I am a big fan of the "Stainless Classic" Winchesters with the old style trigger. I have never been a fan of the barrel contour the Mod. 70 .375 H&H has. It is a bit to much for me and I much prefer the barrel contour on the .375 Ruger African rifle. Ruger got the barrel contour right in my opinion.

I have a stainless Winchester 375 but had some work done to it to make it what I wanted. I too hate the factory profile so I had a gunsmith lathe down the contour, chop 2inches off and install NECG sights. Then bought a mcmillian winlite takeoff here on the fire for cheap. It's been a great moose, brown bear and guide gun.
Can't remember the gunsmiths name but he was in Soldotna out by Mackey lake. It's been a few years ago and I'm not sure if he still does stuff. T Spraker turned me on to him and he did great work

Not sure i would want a 375 to hunt a husband wife or father son. You'd want a real dangerous game caliber for the wife.

I took one to a friend in South Africa in '96. It was a heavy rifle, I much preferred the Model 700 SS BDL .375 (and the Mod 700 Classic) for the mountains. I feel they are worth "paring down" for a handier rifle...or sell/trade and buy a Mod 700. Of course, some prefer the CRF and won't trust the Mod 700, I can understand.
