Have you looked on gunbroker? I was tooling around on gunbroker earlier today, there were a couple of nice pre '64's in 270. Not sure what your price range is.

Good luck staying under a grand for a FWT 270. I just sold a very nice one for almost 2x that.

I have a pre 64 featherweight in 243
Also have BACO supergrade with awesome wood in 270
