8 miles chasing the sunrise this morning on the mountain bike before work, what a great way to start the day!

I got a hell of a workout yesterday setting up my wife's cast iron wood stove in her gift shop in pioneer park. I had to pick it up and move it to right location and she arranged and put the legs on it with bolts. It must of taken 30 minutes to get it just right but the thing was made in 1870 and it is not light. I have had to pick up 18 gun gunsafes that weigh less than that sucker.

Did legs and core today. Can't push it too hard until next week after I see the Dr.

My non-bha-aintinthekoolkids club workout today consisted of 20min of hiit on the stairmaster machine, a few sprints, and weight lifting (low reps, moderate to heavy weight).

Ptarmigan and chukar openers are one day closer.

Went for a ride yesterday, 12.75 miles and 1198' of elevation gain.

Dogs wanted to sleep in this AM so I went for a quick ride 5.16 miles and 840' of elevation gain.

Lunchtime workout on the elliptical. 40 minutes broken into 1 minute chunks with pullups, pushups, flies and triceps between.

My non-bha-aintinthekoolkids clubbutdontmakeabigthingaboutit workout was running... some amount.

I had an app that was supposed to track the run, and it didn't. So not really sure how long of a run it was. I'm not sure how knowing would make me in better shape, so I guess I don't care.

Yesterday I set up a sort of obstacle course of objects to step up on, paths to bear crawl, and hills to climb. I wore my weight vest and went through my course for two hours. Then I dumped off the sweat soaked vest and knocked out a 100 burpees. Today I did another 100 burpees. I work tonight and when I get home I'll knock out 250 kettle bell swings before I go to bed.

Mostly upper body today, plus made a small step towards getting back into mountain shape, 20 minutes of intervals on the stair machine. After only being able to do the stationary bike for the last few months, it kicked my butt. Felt good though.

Would a pallet jack help?

Leaving for the Lost Coast today. I'll put up a couple picks next week when we get back. Weird contemplating a backpack trip at sea level! Pumped for some fishing; should be both surf perch and various rockfish in play. All the lead (ocean fishing takes a lot of lead) added about 2 lbs to my pack I think.

Daughter Alex is using my 1-person tent so Cyn & I FINALLY get some tent privacy. "Hey babe.... how YOU doin'?" Ok so maybe my pickup line is a little 90's.

Thanks. I'm kinda limping to the starting line having been a bit crippled up by my back going wonky on me; have avoided long walks/hiked for at least a week. But I'll be fine. Not like we are climbing Denali here.

Loading up at a Carls Jr in southern Oregon... haha... I'm told I gotta try this crazy burger with pulled pork on top. smile

Got in a quick 3 mile hike in with a 40 pound pack, off to spend the day in a pool hall playing in a tournament to get qualified to get a paid trip to go to Vegas and play. Would prefer to be out enjoying this overcast day doing something!

I was supposed to run a 5k race this morning but plantar fasciitis flared up a couple weeks ago and I've been hobbling. Since there was no way I'd make it through the 5k I ran the 1 mile race with my granddaughter. Like an old dog chasing, as soon as they fired the gun I forgot about everything and wanted to run; we were working our way through the pack and turning back instead of pushing on was pretty hard but I know my foot will be grateful.

The little bugger tried to out kick me at the finish...but not this year.
