Had a good weekend. Lots of mowing and chainsaw work Sat and Sun. Got a nice 4.3 hike in Saturday evening. Pack started out at 57lbs and thankfully decreased as I put up trail cameras. Found some flaws in my gear which was good to find now and not in 5 wks 5 miles from the truck. Good 60min ride on the bike this morning.
MTWarden - good job!

thanks all! I think that might be my last 50k+ race; probably going to stick with 15-20-ish mile mountain races, littler easy on the body, but still puts you in nice country and still satisfying

Yesterday put in a few hours hiking and mushroom hunting with my wife. Found a sack of chantrelles, and a couple lobsters. Then we built a wood shed. Was all natural tired by the end of the day.

Peddled in the hills above home this AM, just under 10 miles and just over 1300'. The downhill run home is my favorite part.
Did some interval stuff this afternoon, elliptical with strength every 90 seconds, average heart rate of 136; 10 rounds of KB swings, 10 rounds of pushups and 10 rounds of core rotations, finished a few seconds shy of an hour.
I've got a date with some mountains as soon as the smoke clears a bit.

just made this workout up (might name it the warden!), but it’s a good one
5 rounds for time
thrusters (95#) x 10 pull-ups x 10 push-ups x 30
finished with some core work

Lower body for me today, felt good. Didn't hit the gym yesterday but did visit a DPT. Been having lower back pain and wanted to nip that in the bud before hunting season. It's related to my hip being thrown out of alignment by my altered gait. Did some stretching and dry needling in the lower back and glutes. The dry needling worked well on the lower back, but didn't work on the glutes.
Because of course, every needle she tried to stick in the glutes broke like a matchstick on an anvil.......

Tell the truth, you really didn't need needling. You just wanted to drop trou.... Addition: ....in front of an old Chinese lady....
