I’ve never really had a problem with other people public or private. I tend to try to use them to my advantage if on public land and to be honest your “approach” to any situation is probably 99% of how the outcome will be. But with that said, this year I have purchased my own private land so my son and I can hunt without bother. On same land we will be building a home so I will be there all the time soon. Yeah, how do you "approach" the situation when you catch them stealing your stands or threatening to shoot your dog because it's disturbing "their" hunting ?

I guess owning your own is the solution. Yeah but then you'll have trespassers. Not in my part of TX. We call them targets of opportunity.

Life’s too short to hunt with ass holes. Kick em off your lease and find some good ole boys. I could tell ya some stories from ranching public land, and the hunters I encountered... Yeah but you ain't gotta hunt with 'em or be in a lease/club with 'em. No, I just had to gather cattle they let out by leaving gates open, fix shot up windmills and water tanks, pick up litter, call the brand inspector to report cattle shot by hunters, fix damage to fences, tank dams, roads and pastures they drove through.... And witness them spotlighting deer at night where not allowed, give directions to no less than 200 lost hunters... some even hunting in the wrong unit, or seasons expired for their licenses, or using their kids license to hunt youth only seasons. Well you don't have to ranch on public land.

at my age of 65 and been in hunting camps since about 8 years of age you kinda figure out who you would hunt with and being from the country raised on a farm ,I seem to not get along much with city -its as we call them.living in north central Minnesota the culture the farther north you go the nicer and the better I get along with the residents and that`s why I spend a lot of time by the northern border of Minnesota less people, these are the hands on working people, most are Norwegians,German,Polish and Swedes, all are Christians who live a good simple life, work, family, hunt, fish, church , have a few beers, dance a little and talk guns ! believe me last fall 2017 they all had Trump signs in the yard too !

The duck hunting community is way over populated with pure asshats. Rudeness and low class runs rampant, all the while trying to impress each other with the latest fancy stuff. Some of my fondest memories are duck hunts before it became “in”. Being mad at dickheads isn’t the reason to spend time outside, so I don’t hunt ducks anymore.

Owning your own land is not a good way to insulate yourself from dick heads.

My lease has three others on it, they're all dickheads.
I fit right in.

Hanco, I've had a few
Family land
the latest asshat we had was a whiny crybaby bow hunter that somehow hit the PTSD jackpot,
His major flaw, he started showing up with buddies and pretty soon the buddies were showing by themselves. They started hunting out of my stands, and then started moving my ladder stands to different areas. lmao
The main guy is just a total dipshlt. He shaved his eyebrows and has a gothic script tattoo across his forehead..,"disabled veteran"

Never had a trespasser (I caught) in 13 years. I know all my neighbors and we watch out for each other. Game Warden and I a good friends as well. Jim

I belong to a camp with 55 members and 1,000 acres. We have a couple arrogant pricks, freeloaders and fat, lazy slobs but overall the good ones outnumber the a-holes by a long shot. I think part of the problem is that a lot of guys avoid confrontation, they just want to go to camp and relax & have a good time. I've found that calling out the a-holes is the best way to handle them. Life's to short to take crap from anyone.
