The boss has graciously sprung for some new AR500 plate to extend my meager 700 yard rifle range out to 1 mile!!! I'll have gongs every 100, to 1000. And then 1200, 1500 and 1760 yards. Ordered steel this morning, 4-5 days to cut, then I'll be to bangin'.....

I'd rather scatter them at random distances, but too many guys that come out, don't range or adapt. It just makes it easy to line up at known distances and let them go... And most shoot off the bench anyway, so not having to move it, works fine.

Free targets are my favorite kind. The few people who shoot at my little range are the ones that help out in iron and muscle.

What a great range, beats walking them out and pounding T posts into the desertgrin. I'll bet it's hard to walk or drive past w/out shooting something.

My range only goes to 1250 yrds, put a steel at every 100 yrds, then built critter targets that I move around every now and then just to mix it up and make it more interesting, I have seen Don's, range and it's very nice, now it will be nicer. Rio7

Owl, Jeff, Yep most of the stuff we shoot is cut from a junk hi-way asphalt roller the county left by our front gate, they gave it to me after they stripped it of useable parts, every year I make a few more targets out of it. Rio7

Nice!

An unemployed Jester, is nobody's Fool.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.
