OP Steelhead Campfire Oracle S Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 96,121 Likes: 1	Winchester 1895 mfg. in 1904 in 30-40 Krag. 28" barrel. The bluing is turning to brown patina in some area with scattered freckling. The wood is in very good shape, some scratched their initials in the stock lightly. A period correct Hawkins recoil pad was added many years ago. The bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Was in safe for over 40 years before I got it. $925 shipped to FFL in lower 48, more for other places. I intend to remove the buttstock for shipping. Can supply more pics tomorrow. Also has the small ebony inlet in the schnabel forend. "Dear Lord, save me from Your followers"

The bore is excellent and it is an accurate rifle. That 28 inch barrel is something else!!! The 30-40 is an excellent hunting round. T.S. Last edited by TexasShooter; 09/20/18.
