Looks like I need to take another look at the Crit'R Call it's been a long time since I bought mine although it does still sit in the ashtray of the hunting truck in easy reach,

Thanks

I don't make as many calls as I used too. Got busy with work for the most part. I've spun a few up lately though. They've all sold off of an email list I started when I quit taking orders just to give interested folks 1st shot at them. I tried to go for the nicer side of custom calls. The last fancy one I sold below was made from Redwood burl, and hippo tooth for the bead and toneboard. I use a very hard CA finish and buff to as high a gloss as I can get. The toneboards are cut to very close tollerance and are fitted with o-rings.

I haven't made a warthog toneboard in ages but here's one in process from years ago...

Not too many videos on YouTube of the Crit’R Call. We’ll work on getting some loaded up.... as soon as big game season(s) are over for us here in CO.

All our calls do come with an excellent instruction book, and I’ve got some instructional CDs that are available as well.

Gotta say, the instructional booklet you sent with my calls is outstanding!

It's something like 55 pages long about how to howl coyotes.

Been reading it on the schitter and practicing with the song dog jr.

Gets a little weird at restaurants for sure, but I'm getting pretty good.

I've got a number of good calls. Mostly open reed, some custom. All are good but I've mostly used a Crit'R. When I first started calling and finally getting a few coyotes to come to a call(after 10-12 stands), I ended up shooting four coyotes on one stand that same year. I think I did cartwheels on my way back to the vehicle! The call used was a standard Crit'R call. I probably won't duplicate those results again, but if I do I'll likely be blowing on a standard Crit'R call. Even if I'm not hunting for fur, I've got one in my pocket. They are just so versatile, simple, & effective.

Consider calling like learning a foreign language.

You wanna hear it. Not see it.

I got several of the Crit'R-Calls a month or two ago, but broke a front tooth a few days later so I haven't been able to try them out much yet. Feels a little weird trying to use one with a big gap in my front teeth. Once I get the implant cap installed in about 3 weeks, I'll be getting after the yotes and anything else that comes to the call.
