You guys should have just gotten long action .260’s built and you could have done that too Funny you said that. I have a Savage .308 that was built during the period where their "short" action, is actually more of a "medium" action. I am seriously considering a new Criterion 260 barrel on it. It would allow the .260 to take great advantage of longer bullets without crowding it. Criterion has two barrels for the .260. One is a standard and the other is a "match" with a longer throat. I have the standard on a .260, now and am considering the match for a new build.
You did not "seen" anything, you "saw" it. A "creek" has water in it, a "crick" is what you get in your neck. Liberals with guns are nothing but hypocrites.

I was a late adopter and have since played with three 6.5 Creedmoors. They all are untouched factory rifles and all shoot like the rifles on this thread with factory ammo. All three are from different manufacturers and are in fact some of the most accurate rifles I have owned. Add light recoil and good long range performance to the accurate factory rifle and ammo equation and it is easy to understand the popularity.

I love my 6.5x55 better...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

The 6.5CM is the Tikka of cartridges.....boringly accurate, and the Tikka is likely the most accurate factory rifle you will ever find straight out of the box. Throw them both together and you have a package that is just stupid simple and good.......should be illegal it's so easy.

Yes I do appreciate something that makes sense. Both the Tikka and Montana are performing well. Used the Tikka on a caribou last month in AK.. One 143gr. ELD-X did the job at 275. Attempting to add a photo - with Mt. McKinley in the background

The .260 can not keep up with the Creedmoor over distance. The further out you shoot the better the Creedmoor looks..

Glad you like it but I have a 6.5x54, and a 260 Remington coming. Why would I need a Creedmore? I don't shoot very long ranges as they are difficult to find in the state of Misery. 200 yards is the longest official and organized range I know about close by. It is a little managed Conservation Dept range. That's the one where I was shooting one year to relax and some FOOL drove up the range in an old orange van from the 200 yard line; I guess hauling his deer. Would that have been a freebie?

It's just plain ignorant. I like the Creedmoor and it does have some real benefits, it doesn't need false advertising and hype to promote it's good qualities.

The .260 can not keep up with the Creedmoor over distance. The further out you shoot the better the Creedmoor looks.. There are some reasons to prefer a Creedmoor over the .260 but this ain’t one of them... John
