OP Fotis Campfire Ranger Joined: May 2009 Posts: 17,276 Likes: 1 Cheyenne, Wy	As promised.....This is the recovered bullet from my elk hunt 2 weeks ago. It is a 175 gr 308 cal LRX that started off at 3425 fps from my WBY KCR 30-378. The impact was at 355 yards and took out both shoulders and lungs. Well done! And those have to be the lightest antlers I've ever seen on a harvested bull! I belong on eroding granite, among the pines.

He was hit behind near shoulder and out the rear of far ribs. Nice exit hole! How can the LRX be softer than TTSX if the TTSX is made from pure copper? Thinner give? Larger cavity? Combination of the two? Happy Trails Life Member NRA, RMEF, American Legion, MAGA. Not necessarily in that order.

The fact that the petals sheared off does not bother me at all. With an elk on the ground, performance is optimum! My results have been similar to Tony’s. 168 TTSX launched at 3,296 fps, .300 Wby.
